The Pretzel Bell first opened in 1934 on Liberty Street — the campus watering hole for nearly 50 years. Today it's back at 226 South Main, walls lined with Michigan history and the same welcoming spirit.

Downstairs, the energy picks up. Live music on weekends, trivia every Thursday, DJ and dancing until 2 AM Friday and Saturday.

The service was excellent. The food was good. The pretzel we had as an appetizer was very soft and light, with a little salt, like how I like it.
Our server recommended amazing options. Cajun chicken pasta was amazing, the honey mustard pretzel croutons on the Cesar salad were a great touch. On the totchos, the tots were nice and crispy and the flavors popped! I tried the fruit punch which also was very good. Had went during happy hour so my drink was 50% off and I noticed they had theme nights on most days.
My wife and I go to The Pretzel Bell for happy hour at least twice a week. The appetizers are amazing, the cocktails are nice and consistent and menu has great selections! The staff is really friendly with awesome service! Definitely our favorite local spot.
